VEAM International (Pty) Ltd was established in 1994 to assist South African manufacturing companies to export their products. That year South Africa became a true democracy and immediately new export opportunities opened into markets that were previously closed. Since then VEAM has expanded sales into new markets, especially into Africa and continues to grow its client base in many new countries. VEAM has also increased its product range and strengthening its relationships with existing suppliers and has established new agencies for imported products into Africa.

VEAM’s MD and Sales Director, Chris Spacey has 40 years international experience in steel trading and exporting of ‘added value’ steel products. This now includes many new products such as Glass Fibre Reinforced and Pre-galvanised products. VEAM has a strong team of sales, shipping and administrative personnel and its fellow Directors have over 70 years of combined experience in steel manufacturing and contracting locally in South Africa and internationally.

VEAM's mandate is to continue to build and strengthen relationships with existing clients and suppliers with quality and internationally proven and tested products that must meet strict international standards and specifications. VEAM will continue to expand into new markets with new products to generate valuable foreign exchange for South Africa, hence its mission statement ‘Bringing engineering products to you globally’.
